This beautifully restored, detached barn conversion, finished to a high standard, is the perfect place for a luxurious break or for friends and family to get together with ample space. With its large kitchen/dining room and living room on the first floor, this certainly is a room for entertaining, and if the kids get bored, they can take themselves downstairs to the games room and play on the Playstation 4. It is set in an elevated position in beautiful countryside, with three other holiday properties within the grounds of the owner’s home and working farm. If you are looking for a spacious property then this fits the bill, and the owner has thoughtfully provided a lovely welcome pack along with complimentary toiletries in the bathrooms.
Places to visit and outdoor activities are plentiful. Guests can enjoy an interesting visit to the Dan yr Ogof Showcaves, which are within easy driving distance, as is Margam Country Park. Cardiff, the vibrant capital city of Wales, offers many places of historical interest, bustling shops, nightlife, stadiums and concert arenas.
The Swansea Leisure Centre and Waterpark is a firm favourite with visitors of all ages with a lazy river, wave pool, the board rider for indoor surfing and the master blaster rollercoaster waterslide, as well as the maritime museum and marina. Walking is available from the doorstep - a public footpath runs through the farmland, and cycling is very popular in the Afan Argoed Country Park. Golf and horse riding can also be found locally. About the local area

Swansea, situated by an enclosed bay, has a long maritime tradition and is overlooked by brooding hills. The city has spacious green places in the form of extensive parklands and a striking shoreline. The wider county of Swansea lies within the Gower Peninsula, which was in fact Britain's very first designated 'Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'.

This area offers visitors a varied mix of wonderful seascapes and sandy beaches, historic castles and woodland. Here there is evidence of early human occupation with some of the oldest human remains being discovered in this area. At just nineteen miles wide the Gower Peninsula is a microcosm of contrasting landscapes and ancient history.

For those staying within the Swansea area there are no less 54 public parks which extend right down to the shores of Swansea Bay. Of note is Clyne Gardens & Country Park which covers some 16 acres and includes panoramic sea views, bluebell woods, architectural follies, meandering streams, ornate bridges and a castle! Additionally horticulturists will not be disappointed with a large collection of plants and shrubs to be enjoyed. In fact it's a good idea for gardening enthusiasts to also head for Singleton Park which includes the city's botanical collection. Here you can also find a boating lake, picturesque Swiss cottage and is the place where large outdoor festivals and music galas are held.

To get a real taste of the local area visit Swansea Market, this is one of the largest indoor markets in the whole region and dates back to the twelfth century. It's a great place to potter around to soak up the local `colour' with stalls selling anything from fresh seafood to flowers and jewelry, souvenirs and local artworks.

The Gower Peninsula is simply ideal for holidays where lovely beaches, fun and relaxation are required. With a dramatic coastline it's ideal for cliff top walks and is the perfect place to re-connect with nature - it truly deserves its title `Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'.
