Set in a wonderful location, nestled in the rolling Pembrokeshire hills yet still just a walk to the beaches, is Springwells Lodge. This detached property, set within the owners’ garden, has been beautifully designed by the owners to make the most of the space, it really is a haven from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The open-plan living space has a kingsize bed, electric reclining sofa and a kitchen, perfect, for making breakfast before a day exploring the Welsh countryside. Outside you will find a private garden with picnic bench and gas barbecue, plus a shower for dogs and/or muddy boots.

From the garden, beaches can be reached within a 15-minute walk on the coastal paths. Ramble through Wisemans Bridge and on to the harbour town of Saundersfoot, where you can enjoy a host of restaurants specialising in local produce and hand-caught fish, or fresh fish and chips on the harbour wall. A 10-minute drive brings you to the sandy beaches in Tenby, and nearby you can enjoy quad biking, fishing, golf, boat trips and a host of wildlife along this ’picture postcard’ coastline. Beach 1 mile. Shop 2 miles, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

About the local area

Pembrokeshire has tremendous variety. From majestic cliffs to sand dunes, from broad river estuaries to cascading streams, from gently rolling arable land to rocky outcrop - all can be seen within a few miles of each other.

This wealth of contrasts is due to the very bones of the land. The fact that such a variety of rock types occur within such a comparatively small area has directly affected the scenery and history of this westerly quarter of Wales.

The Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, one of Britain's breathing spaces, takes in about a third of the county including the entire coastal strip, the upper reaches of the Daugleddau and the Preseli's. Its the only National Park that is almost all coastal. The National Park run an extensive programme of activities and events for both adults and children so you can really make the most of what the area has to offer.

Pembrokeshire is also the capital of activities! Everything from coasteering, diving, sailing and surfing by the coast to riding, walking and cycling just about anywhere! Just don't forget to relax on one of 83 beaches in the county!
