It’s hard to beat Gamekeeper’s Cottage for location. The detached cottage is ideal in all seasons, with comfy settees set around a warming winter fire, and a conservatory and lovely private garden for those long, sunny summer days. Off the beaten track in the little village of Pentir, it is within easy reach of Llanberis, the gateway to Snowdon, and a whole host of attractions including a hydro-electric power station visitor centre, a wonderful slate museum and a lakeside railway, as well as the more famous Snowdon Mountain Railway that chugs all the way up to the 3,560ft summit in season. You’re also just 15 minutes from the bridges that link the mainland to the Isle of Anglesey, where you can explore the island’s wonderful 125-mile coastline. You will also find Caernarfon and its grand castle nearby, and the wild and mystical Llyn Peninsula. The best of North Wales is all within reach from Gamekeeper’s Cottage and there is a small pub/restaurant within one mile too. Beach 6 miles. Shop 1 mile, pub and restaurant ¾ mile.
