Description
Benar Bach, which in English means: Little Benar, is a Grade II* listed cottage and was built as an annexe to the delightful 16th century farmhouse. The cottage is beautifully secluded and has a lovely private outside terrace and lawn, adjacent to a babbling stream with plenty of wildlife. Set in the peaceful Machno Valley between Penmachno and Betws-y-Coed, it provides a romantic retreat for two people. There are walks straight from the door, with the Gwydyr Forest just waiting to be explored. The cottage has direct off-road access to the Penmachno Mountain Bike Trails with the Marin Bike Trail also nearby. The pretty village of Betws-y-Coed, the Gateway to Snowdonia, is 3 miles away and has individual shops and a range of cafés, hotels and eateries, together with the treetop nets at Zip World Fforest – not for the faint hearted! Horse riding nearby. There is also a village pub within walking distance in Penmachno, plus the tiny National Trust property of Ty Mawr Wybrnant is well worth a visit. Beach 20 miles. Shop 3 miles and pub 1 mile.
