The Talyllyn Railway is an historic narrow gauge steam railway that runs from Tywyn to Abergynolwyn and Nant Gwernol in the beautiful mid Wales countryside.

It was originally a working line but in 1951 the railway became the first to be preserved as a heritage railway, and has been running as a tourist attraction ever since.

There are many themed events taking place throughout the year, including special children's days. At Tywyn there is a station cafe, gift shop and The Narrow Gauge Railway Museum. At Abergynolwyn, there is a cafe, shop, toilets and The Railway Adventure Playground which draws children of all ages.
