The Hay Festival of literature and arts is held annually in the world famous Welsh border `Book Town' of Hay-on-Wye. It is held annually for 10 days between May and June. President Bill Clinton described the festival as `The Woodstock of the Mind'.
The festival has been taking place since 1987 and has expanded over the years and now includes musical performances and film previews. The festival also offers a superb children's programme and a lot of the events will appeal to all the family. Many of the events are free!
