Description

Come and enjoy Treforgan Farm Holidays, situated close to the wonderful Cardigan Bay coastline. This tranquil small holding, complete with donkeys and chickens, offers comfortable, lovingly furnished holiday accommodation in a picturesque area.
Little Box is one of two semi-detached cottages and is set all on the first floor. This quirky cottage is nestled on the edge of the rural hamlet of Llangoedmore, just 2 miles from the bustling historic market town of Cardigan on the Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire borders. Enjoy lots of open space surrounded by woodlands and around 15 acres of fields to explore. Locally there are a host of beaches to discover with Poppit Sands, Newport Sand and Mwnt beach all within a 30-minute drive and are perfect for fishing, kayaking and canoeing, or take a stroll on the 186 miles of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park footpath waiting to be enjoyed.

Little Box is adjoining the owners’ home and offers a great base to discover the area. After a busy day of sightseeing, relax in the open plan living space, thoughtfully appointed and decorated to a good standard throughout. The bright and airy bedroom is set just off the living room and has an open plan feel. Enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace and take in the fresh coastal air.
Locally, Cardigan offers a plethora of pubs and restaurants where you can enjoy some home cooking and local ales along with a wide variety of shops, a theatre and Cardigan Castle. Travelling north you can visit the harbour towns of Aberaeron and New Quay, sure to make for great days out. Head over to the walled town of Tenby, complete with beach, cobbled streets and a host of eateries and craft shops, really worth a visit. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
Little Box can be booked together with Crofters Cottage (UK30721) to accommodate up to 5 guests.

About the local area

One of the most rural counties in Wales, overlooking Cardigan Bay, Ceredigion offers unspoilt countryside and uncrowded beaches. Much of the coastline is designated as a `heritage coast', and is one of Britain's most diverse areas for marine wildlife.

The coast is home to a resident pod of some 130 bottlenose dolphins as well as porpoises and grey seals. Eco-friendly boat trips to fully experience the coastline and its wildlife run frequently in the summer months from New Quay and Aberaeron. Hidden coves and sandy beaches also allow you to escape from the crowds.

Inland the countryside is a green vastness of hills and valleys dotted with small villages and market towns. There are several nature reserves, home to rare species of flora and fauna. Explore these on one of the many walking trails across the county and for the more adventurous; there is an awesome 35 km mountain biking trail in Nant Bwlch yr Arian high in the Cambrian Mountains. And afterwards, treat yourself to an award wining honey ice cream from Aberaeron!
