Ceredigion, home to golden beaches, horse shoe coves and tranquil fishing villages, provides the perfect destination to unwind and relax whatever time of the year. The stunning beaches of Tresaith, Penbryn, Cei Bach, Llangrannog and Mwnt are well worth a visit, and several beaches are dog friendly all year round. Standing peacefully in its own private garden, this well-presented house has been lovingly converted into a spacious holiday property, providing guests with a memorable holiday experience. Each room has been attractively put together boasting a large open-plan living area, conservatory overlooking the garden and fields beyond, and a compact kitchen with all necessary equipment and amenities.
During inclement weather, the family can enjoy the internal games room, complete with a full size pool and football table. For the more adventurous, ramble the magnificent Ceredigion Coastal Path, which enjoys spectacular views across Cardigan Bay, home to resident bottlenose dolphins, harbour porpoises, grey seals and a variety of rare sea birds. The popular coastal resort of New Quay is nearby, which features a good selection of cafés, pubs and restaurants, which cling to the sides of the hills rising above the crystal blue waters of Cardigan Bay. The charming regency town of Aberaeron, with its multi-coloured houses and attractive harbour is well worth a visit, as is the charming market towns of Cardigan and Newcastle Emlyn, with their medieval castles, traditional Welsh pubs and highly acclaimed restaurants. The nearest pub can be reached within a 15-minute walk. Pub and restaurant 0.9 miles.

About the local area

One of the most rural counties in Wales, overlooking Cardigan Bay, Ceredigion offers unspoilt countryside and uncrowded beaches. Much of the coastline is designated as a `heritage coast', and is one of Britain's most diverse areas for marine wildlife.

The coast is home to a resident pod of some 130 bottlenose dolphins as well as porpoises and grey seals. Eco-friendly boat trips to fully experience the coastline and its wildlife run frequently in the summer months from New Quay and Aberaeron. Hidden coves and sandy beaches also allow you to escape from the crowds.

Inland the countryside is a green vastness of hills and valleys dotted with small villages and market towns. There are several nature reserves, home to rare species of flora and fauna. Explore these on one of the many walking trails across the county and for the more adventurous; there is an awesome 35 km mountain biking trail in Nant Bwlch yr Arian high in the Cambrian Mountains. And afterwards, treat yourself to an award wining honey ice cream from Aberaeron!
