Within Woodlands Resort you can enjoy open lawned areas, a restaurant, pub, shop, and children’s play area. Moonshine Lodge is set in an elevated position looking down over the lawned areas and offers a spacious, light and airy, open plan kitchen, dining and living area which is prefect for socialising and cooking that special meal with vaulted ceilings running throughout to create space. French doors lead from the living room out onto the large enclosed deck area that wraps around your lodge, perfect for sitting out to watch the sunset or an early morning coffee watching the squirrels larking on the lawn. Away from the resort, the county of Ceredigion has a host of sights and attractions to explore, the local area has lots to offer with the sandy beaches of Llangrannog, Tresaith, Penbryn and Mwnt just a short drive away. The charming regency town of Aberaeron with its multi-coloured houses and attractive harbour is well worth a visit too, whether you decide to explore this wonderful area on foot, by bicycle or by car, you are sure of a fun-filled day out with plenty to do for the whole family. About the local area

One of the most rural counties in Wales, overlooking Cardigan Bay, Ceredigion offers unspoilt countryside and uncrowded beaches. Much of the coastline is designated as a `heritage coast', and is one of Britain's most diverse areas for marine wildlife.

The coast is home to a resident pod of some 130 bottlenose dolphins as well as porpoises and grey seals. Eco-friendly boat trips to fully experience the coastline and its wildlife run frequently in the summer months from New Quay and Aberaeron. Hidden coves and sandy beaches also allow you to escape from the crowds.

Inland the countryside is a green vastness of hills and valleys dotted with small villages and market towns. There are several nature reserves, home to rare species of flora and fauna. Explore these on one of the many walking trails across the county and for the more adventurous; there is an awesome 35 km mountain biking trail in Nant Bwlch yr Arian high in the Cambrian Mountains. And afterwards, treat yourself to an award wining honey ice cream from Aberaeron!
