This former drovers’ route, where cattle were taken from Wales to markets in England is the oldest road in Wales. On the borders of Shropshire and Powys, the Kerry Ridgeway has sweeping views over the hills of the borders. It’s also an eventful walking route, which takes you past the Caer Din iron age hillfort and Bishop’s Moat. It makes a great day walk as the total distance is only 15 miles.
