Its generously proportioned rooms and enclosed garden make Caer Arba an ideal retreat for families: The patio area at the back of the property, providing the perfect place to barbecue, unwind and reflect on the many adventures to be had from the doorstep. The large, well equipped kitchen/diner, with its vast range cooker will certainly serve all refuelling needs, while the generously proportioned soft furnishings and tasteful surroundings of the rest of the house, ensures rest and relaxation aplenty.

The range of activities and experience on offer within an hour's drive of Caer Arba are vast and diverse. From city centre shopping in Swansea or Cardiff, to walking coastal paths or attending one of the many high profile sporting fixtures, the list is endless but there is much to be found nearby. Being on the edge of the awe inspiring,Brecon Beacons National Park, Caer Arba really does provide haven for those with a passion for the great outdoors. Set in the heart of Waterfall country, these splendid natural sites can't be missed. Just 4 miles from Caer Arba, Aberdulais Falls are set in a deep gorge, powering the largest water wheel in Europe to generate electricity. While a 30 minute drive through the magnificent countryside of the National Park, takes you to the renown, Ystradfellte Falls, where way marked routes lead you from one natural spectacle to another. The highlight has to be Sgwd yr Eira (Fall of Snow) where the River Hepste leaps over a 50ft cliff. A narrow path leads behind the falls and allows the adventurous to look through this incredible curtain of water! Just 13 miles from Caer Arba, Afan Argoed Forest Park provides further outdoor fun, with Afan Valley Mountain Bike Hire in Glyncorrwg providing just what you need to enjoy the 5 world renown, mountain bike trails or even the low level cycle route. With fishing, water activities and 14 way marked walks to enjoy, it's certainly worth a visit. Or why not take a barge ride on the Neath Tenant Canal, just 10 minutes away from Caer Arba. The 12 seater Thomas Dadford sails between Neath and Tonna in the summer months. Remos steak restaurant or the Italian, Cafe Napoli would both be excellent venues for lunch and evening meals following this adventure. For coastal days, Aberavon Seafront, just 13 miles from Caer Arba offers a three mile stretch of Blue Flag beach, with its promenade attracting joggers, cyclists and skaters. Being the surfing hot spot of South Wales, the Approved British Surfing School offers lessons to anyone wanting to give it a go. While a journey of 28 miles will take you to Three Cliffs Bay, one of the most photographed areas of the Gower Peninsular, itself, the first place in the UK to be designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Dan-yr Ogof Caves, just 11 miles from Caer Arba provides an excellent day out, with over ten miles of caves, the Iron Age village, the Dinosaur Park, the farm and Barney's Playbarn offering something for all interests. With Caer Arba's village of Crynant providing take away's and liquid refreshment and the local Gradon Restaurant providing a great menu. Caer Arba, tucked away from the tourist trail, provides place to recuperate in time for the next adventure or to kick back and relax.
