If the temperate climate of Pembrokeshire doesn’t live up to expectation, this quaint, two bedroomed barn-conversion offers the ideal solution: Set in two acres, amongst picturesque countryside, just four miles from the stunning Blue Flag beach of Amroth and two miles from the chic market town of Narberth, this rural retreat provides relaxing tranquillity within easy striking distance of all that South Pembrokeshire has to offer. Amble freely around the two acre site with its far reaching views across undulating farm land to the northern Preseli Hills. While the stone walls, beamed ceilings and host of comfortable soft furnishings within Foxes Walk, create a cosy ambience that’s hard to leave. Its patio area offers the ideal spot to dine alfresco, amidst the calming sounds of nature and reflect on the day’s adventures. Conveniently located in a fantastic touring spot, guests can take advantage of visiting the neighbouring Preseli Hills, perfect for rambling or biking, or for discovering its numerous iron age settlements tucked away peacefully in its rugged terrain. Nearby, the traditional market town of Narberth has lots to offer including numerous cafes, restaurants and boutique gift shops, as are the popular coastal resorts of Saundersfoot and Tenby, encased in their tranquil fishing harbours and home to beautiful golden beaches, gift shops and highly acclaimed restaurants with freshly caught fish always on the menu. A visit to the resort would not be complete without a memorable boat trip to the offshore island of Caldey, where visitors can share the serenity and tranquillity of the Cistercian monks, who have made this holy island for hundreds of years. For an interesting day out, visit the award winning leisure attractions of Oakwood, Folly Farm and Anna’s Welsh Zoo.
Foxes Walk can be booked together with Buzzard Barn (CC631036) to accommodate up to 7 guests.

About the local area

Just four miles away, the seaside village of Amroth provides more than just an award-winning beach: Shops, cafes and restaurants stare out at the vast expanse of sparkling sand and witness the start (or end) of the 186 miles of Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Sauntering along just the first few miles of this path to Tenby, it’s easy to see why The National Geographic recently named Pembrokeshire as the second best coastal destination in the entire world! Just a mile of so inland from Amroth, the magical valley garden of Colby Woodland Garden, has something to appeal to the whole family. Owned and cared for by The National Trust they offer a varied programme of events for all ages, a gallery full of local arts and crafts, woodland walks, a stunning walled garden and fantastic afternoon teas. The carpets of bluebells in springtime and the colourful array of autumn foliage are spectacular sights. The Amroth Arms, serving hearty pub classics and local fish dishes, provides an ideal re-fuelling spot before ambling home. Folly Farm Adventure Park and Zoo with its enormous indoor adventure play area and fairground, lies less than three miles from Foxes Walk and provides days of family fun and intrigue.  The brightly coloured market town of Narberth, just two miles from the door, offers a wonderful blend of unique independent shops, galleries with vast array of local art and some great eateries. The cafe bar with Ultracomeda, the Spanish deli on the high street, serves lunches and wines that simply can’t be missed! Amongst a busy annual events diary, September’s Food Festival brings the town to a stand-still: Cookery demonstrations by celebrity chefs and the showcasing of hundreds of locally produced, gastronomic delights, draws crowds from far and wide.
Whether in search of water-sports, retail therapy, pony trekking across the sands or the horrors of Oakwood Theme Park at Halloween, South Pembrokeshire provides it all and much, much more besides. Whatever the adventure, whatever the season, returning to Foxes Walk, you can’t fail to appreciate the comfort and convenience it offers: Easy access to so much, yet tucked away from the bustling tourist trail, Foxes Walk provides the perfect place for whatever holiday you wish to create.
