Wide open landscapes remain relatively undiscovered and thankfully, totally undeveloped. The 5800 hectares of Brechfa Forest on the doorstep, offer expeditions a plenty: Way marked routes take walkers from thick conifer plantations, over gushing streams to vast open vistas and the residues of ancient woodland. The mountain bike trails offer adventure for all abilities: The Derwen Trail provides a great introduction to the sport for families and novices, while the black graded, Raven Trail will put even the most experienced to the test.
