On the banks of the beautiful River Teifi, amidst some of the best-kept countryside and woodlands in Wales, sits Cenarth, an ancient village with plenty to offer its many visitors.
The natural beauty of Cenarth and the surrounding countryside make it a popular location for tourists all year round, with the spectacular cascades of Cenarth Falls forming the central attraction for many visitors. In early autumn, salmon and migratory seatrout making their way up the River Teifi to breed can be seen leaping out of the water as they attempt to climb the falls.
Holiday cottages in Cenarth offer a base from which to explore the scenic Heritage Coastline of Cardigan Bay, as well as the hills and forests of the Teifi Valley.
The village caters for its visitors’ thirst with fine pubs like The White Hart and the Three Horse Shoes, while the Cenarth tea rooms serves hot drinks and food to hungry walkers.
A great time to visit Cenarth is July, when the village comes together for the Cenarth River Festival, featuring birds of prey on display, duck races, a pic roast and various stalls, musical performances and dancing.
