Caban Cwtch is a Swedish wooden lodge situated at the edge of Penlan Holiday Village, just outside the popular village of Cenarth Falls. The Holiday Park is wooded, with lodges dotted around an 18 acre site. This retro lodge has been extensively restored to 1960's style inside and provides a comfortable but alternative self catering accommodation. The cabin is insulated and entirely lined in pine, with heaters in every room - to ensure its occupants are kept nice and snug during those cold winter nights! At the rear is a covered verandah - not overlooked but with spectacular surrounding countryside views, with the Preseli Hills of Pembrokeshire in the distance. The living room boasts a leather sofa, designer armchairs, TV/DVD, electric fire and scenic views, while the galley kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. If you prefer to eat out, the area has a reputation for fine local produce and the menus of many of the pubs and restaurants regularly feature Welsh lamb and beef, fresh seafood and locally caught fish, along with local cheeses.

The holiday village is set in the heart of the beautiful Teifi Valley, and just a short drive away from the coast. Facilities at the site include a heated outdoor swimming pool, sauna, club room(serving meals and drinks), a launderette and a tourist information room, along with a small shop selling all the basics. Cenarth sits astride the River Teifi - mostly in Carmarthenshire, and also partly in Ceredigion. There is a spectacular water fall and salmon leap and is one of the best places to see coracles - for a taste of local tradition, attend the annual coracle races take place in Cenarth at the end of July. The picturesque 200 year old bridge is an attraction in itself and features in most tourist brochures of Wales. The walk beside the famous falls enables you to meander for some distance beside the peaceful Teifi. There are three cafes and two pubs (the White Hart and the Three Horseshoes) where you can enjoy a good meal or afternoon tea. There is plenty to explore with fantastic walks right from the front door step. Public footpath markers take walkers along various trails; explore the Pembrokeshire Coats Path or the Teifi Marshes, which are also home to a Wildlife Nature Reserve. Mink, otters, stoats, buzzards, woodpeckers and red kites are commonly spotted amongst the flora and fauna. Cyclists, fishermen and golfers are also well catered for in the local vicinity and shoppers, art lovers and food lovers won't be disappointed either. Caban Cwtch is an ideal holiday retreat for relaxing, walking, cycling, bird watching and fishing or to use as a base to explore this beautiful corner of Wales.
