Having said this Cwm Penmachno is also central to the Snowdonia National Park and to all the tourist attractions of North Wales and is close to the extremely popular town of Betws-y-Coed with all its numerous and appealing amenities. For walkers there are public footpaths from the property door and all the mountains of Snowdonia including the 15 over 3,000 feet are within easy reach. Also within close proximity is the Plas y Brenin National Mountain Centre where one can enjoy activities from rock climbing and skiing to sea kayaking. There are excellent mountain bike trails in Penmachno and Gwydr forests whilst the famous Red Bull circuit at Coed y Brenin is within commuting distance. The popular holiday town of Betws y Coed, with its designer shops, outdoor outlets, station, numerous cafes and restaurants is nearby and provides something for everyone. Within an hours drive there are numerous award wining beaches and castles to be enjoyed and the attractive coastal town of Llandudno and the award wining Bodnant Gardens are well worth a visit.Valley view is an ideal base for those wanting complete tranquility away from it all (there is very little mobile phone reception!) or equally for those with a sense of adventure who enjoy outdoor pursuits of all kinds. Located in the centre of Snowdonia National Park it is an excellent base for exploring both mountains and coast.
