Tan Rallt is a recently refurbished stone cottage which was once a bakery and stands in its own enclosed gardens with designated parking.  The property is nestled in the welcoming village of Capel Curig, which is in the heart of Snowdonia.  Tan Rallt, which means ‘under the hill’ is situated at the foot of Moel Siabod and enjoys magnificent views of the Llugwy Valley.  The cosy lounge features a lovely wood-burning stove ensuring a warm welcome awaits visitors to Tan Rallt regardless of the season.

About the local area

The friendly village of Capel Curig has three pubs and a well stocked shop and is home to the Plas y Brenin National Mountain Centre where there is an abundance of activities available such as rock climbing, skiing and sea kayaking.  There are excellent mountain bike trails in the Gwydr and Penmachno forests a ten minute drive away whilst the famous Red Bull circuit at Coed y Brenin is within easy reach. 
The popular holiday town of Betws y Coed, with its designer shops, station, numerous cafes and restaurants is within 3 miles and a scenic footpath leads from the cottage door along the river to the town. Within an hour from Capel Curig there are numerous award winning beaches and castles to be enjoyed and all the fifteen 3,000 feet mountain peaks of Snowdonia are within close proximity. 
The attractive coastal town of Llandudno is approx 40 minutes drive away and the award winning Bodnant Gardens are within a few miles. Tan Rallt is an ideal base for those wanting a truly relaxing holiday or equally for those with a sense of adventure who enjoy outdoor pursuits of all kinds. Located in the centre of Snowdonia and on the River Llugwy, Tan Rallt at Capel Curig provides an excellent base for exploring both mountain and coast.
