Description

Henfaes Bwthyn is the smaller of two cottages situated in a very pretty courtyard next to the owner’s property. Guests have the use of the vast back garden from which the famous Offas Dyke path may be accessed via the garden gate. Or if preferable you can drive only a mile or so to reach the car park by Offas Dyke which is a haven for walkers and cyclists. If you do take your bike they may be stored by arrangement at the property. There is also the opportunity of partaking in a spot of Fly Fishing close by. You holiday retreat is just that. Set amidst rolling countryside just off a narrow lane your holiday can be as peaceful or as energetic as you please. This property provides an ideal, compact base. As it is directly across the courtyard from Henfaes Bach, it would be perfect to accommodate the overflow of a larger group of family or friends. There is a spacious games room situated between the two properties.

About the local area

There are numerous pubs/eateries within a short drive as well as tea rooms. A visit to nearby Mold is a must. An ancient and unspoilt market town with everything from historic churches, modern shops and various eateries and coffee shops to the magnificent 17th century Jacobean Mansion ’Plas Teg’. A little further afield, but still within easy driving distance lies the very impressive Chirk Castle, now a National Trust property - a gem for history lovers. Also within easy reach are the Clwydian Hills and the town of Chester. The stunning coastline of North Wales offers some of the most beautiful beaches in Britain and the much loved holiday resort of Llandudno, which boasts the longest pier in Wales and a Victorian promenade, is well worth a visit. Whatever your interests, Henfaes Bwthyn is the perfect base from which to discover this charming part of North Wales.
