Mentioned in the Domesday Book as a small market town, Caerwys on the north-east shoulder of Wales is a quaint, welcoming town in an attractive area of scenic countryside.

From a base in a Caerwys cottage, holiday-makers can access the stunning Conwy Valley and Conwy Castle, as well as being within easy reach of towns like Chester and Shrewsbury. Within the town of Caerwys, there are three pubs, of which two have dining facilities. Local shops have survived well in the area, with two butchers, a delicatessen, a pharmacy, newsagent and hairdresser all thriving.

Caerwys caters for active holidays, whether you fancy a round of golf or if you want to explore the Clwydian Hill Range – an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty that contains some excellent cycle trails and walking routes.

Despite being one of the smallest towns in Britain, Caerwys has a rich heritage and a long history. It is home to the Eisteddfod poetry festivals, which have been held in the town for around a thousand years.
