A short drive north brings visitors within reach of the popular coastal resorts of Rhyl, Colwyn Bay and Llandudo.  No visit to North Wales is complete without a trip to the friendly town of Llandudno with its superb range of shops and amenities and an invigorating walk along its spectacular 2,300 feet long pier is an absolute must. Slightly further to the west is the historic town of Conwy, one of the few, extra-special places in the British Isles to be awarded World Heritage Site status. Conwy itself is a tourists’ dream. Its picturesque harbour overlooks the River Conwy estuary- the perfect spot for an evening stroll- why not sit awhile on the harbour wall and watch the sun set over the Irish Sea? However, two things set this beautiful town apart. First, is its awe-inspiring castle that looms large over the surrounding area; regarded by many as one of the finest examples of medieval architecture in Europe, this majestic structure built by the English King Edward I to consolidate his grip over the fiercely independent Welsh Princes, it has spectacular views over the sun-kissed estuary and the distant ridges of Snowdonia. Second, are the almost complete circuit of mighty, stone walls ringing the town.  They can be walked in sections and in doing so bridge the gap between past and present in a simple yet powerful manner. Conwy also boasts Plas Mawr or ‘Great Mansion’, arguably the best preserved Elizabethan townhouse in Great Britain and a ‘must see’ for any visitor and Aberconwy House, a 14th century merchant’s house with a turbulent past. To the west lies Anglesey, the spiritual and emotional heartland of Wales with its stunning, windswept cliff tops and invigorating walks. To the south-west lies the Snowdonia National Park and its truly, stunning landscapes that compare with anywhere else in the country in terms of beauty and natural grandeur.

What our customers say

A Williams - April 2012

The cottage was stunning - large bedrooms and bathrooms finished to an excellent standard, with great lounge and kitchen/dining areas. The owners (being based on the farm) were wonderfully warm and welcoming and couldn't do enough to make our stay a really enjoyable one. There are no negative comments at all.

J P Reed - November 2011

Fantastic, great house.
