Llandudno boasts excellent shopping facilities as well as a wide range of restaurants and bars and beautiful gardens; its famous Victorian pier is the longest recreational pier in Wales.  The local area is home to many important historic sites and a visit to the medieval walled town of Conwy is a must, with its internation golf course and imposing castle built by Edward 1 as one of his “iron ring”.  Nearby Caernarfon Castle is equally awe inspiring being architecturally one of most interesting in Wales.  The town offers many other attractions including Segontium Roman Fort and Museum, a Maritime Museum, The Welsh Highland Railway to name but a few.  For those keen to walk or to climb, Snowdonia National Park provides some of the most breathtaking landscapes in the British Isles, and set in the heart of the National Park, the historic village of Harlech is well worth a visit, with its steep winding streets and traditional Welsh architecture.  Harlech also boasts a magnificent castle, which almost seems to grow out from the rocks on which it is sited.  Built originally by Edward 1, it is steeped in history and in fact was the site of a long siege during the Wars of the Roses and inspired the stirring song “Men of Harlech”.  This beautiful and varied part of North Wales has something for everyone and Graiglwyd Farmhouse is the perfect base from which to explore.

Really enjoyed our stay at the cottage and couldn't be happier with it. Plenty of space for everyone inside and brilliant view over the village and water outside. Would certainly recommend the cottage to others.
