Perhaps the Llyn Peninsula’s most famous and most popular resort is Abersoch, a unique pocket of natural Welsh beauty that is loved by surfers, campers, walkers and environmentalists alike.
Though it comes into its own in summer, Abersoch remains a beautiful place all year round and more people are choosing to visit out of season.
Abersoch’s thriving community run some fantastic events in the town throughout the year, starting with the annual ‘New Year’s Day Dip’, which sees thousands of locals take a chilly plunge at the beach, while wearing fancy dress, to kick the year off with a splash.
In June, Abersoch is one of the beach resorts used to host Wakestock wakeboarding festival, attracting thousands of watersports and dance music fans, and jazz music lovers enjoy a festival and parade during the same month.
Abersoch has something for everyone, whether you want to get involved in the activities on offer in the town and on the sea, or if you would rather just explore the golden beaches and surrounding hills and fields. Abersoch is home to a rich variety of wildlife, including dolphins, turtles, buzzards, peregrine falcons, badgers, polecats and hundreds of wild flower species.

Set in a magnificent tranquil location this is an idyllic base for touring Snowdonia and North and Mid Wales
