The Taff Trail is a route between Cardiff Bay in the South and the Market Town of Brecon in the North.The 55 mile routepasses close to Pontypridd and Merthyr Tydfil and through a wide variety of urban and suburban landscapesincludingthe open moorland of the Brecon Beacons.

A majority of the trail is traffic free, using former tramways, railway and canal towpaths. Many of these routes have important historical significance to the industrial heritage of South Wales.

The Taff Trail can be used by walkers, cyclists and horse ridersfor trips of varying length.
