Upper Woodhouse Farm is a semi-detached farmhouse providing quality accommodation for larger families. It is positioned in Rhos–Y-Meirch, which is a mile from Knighton town centre, making it perfect for those seeking a quiet and peaceful holiday location. Knighton is a small Victorian market town built around the central Victorian clock tower and Offa’s Dyke, made popular by the walkers and twitchers. It is also home to the Spaceguard Centre/observatory and Offa’s Dyke Centre.
The town itself has a supermarket, post office, garage, leisure centre with swimming pool and squash courts, golf course and a number of other local shops. This is a great base for exploring the delights of Shropshire, Herefordshire and Powys, and is in easy reach of Shrewsbury, Ludlow, Presteigne, Clun, Bishops Castle, Welshpool, Craven Arms, Much Wenlock, Bridgnorth and Ironbridge. There is a huge variety of days out available locally to suit all manner of hobbies and ages. Shop, pub and restaurant 1 mile.

About the local area

For those who really want to escape it all then mid Wales is the place to go. Because of the vast mountain ranges in this area much of it is uninhabitable. However this does not stop it from being a beautiful place to visit.

The Cambrian Mountain range dominates and because it is often over looked due to the Snowdonian and Brecon Beacon ranges it is a secret just waiting to be discovered. Fish in one of the many reservoirs and rivers or bike up some of the challenging trails across the range.

Further to the east the towns of Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells both provide amenities for your day in the mountains. From here you can also travel to the Black Mountains in the South East or visit the neighbouring English border
