This well positioned, 18th century, terraced town house is set in a quiet area of the handsome, historic town of Machynlleth, within walking distance of shops, pubs and restaurants. This holiday property is surrounded by rolling hills, the Cambrian Mountains, River Dyfi and the Cambrian coast. Visitor attractions nearby include King Arthur’s Labyrinth, Corris Craft Centre and mines, Owain Glyndwr Centre and Cors Dyfi and Ynys Hir nature reserves. Further afield, visit Snowdonia and Llyn Clwedog, plus numerous historic houses and NT properties, including Powys Castle and Gregynog Hall. Aberdovey beach, 20 minutes. Shop, pub and restaurant 50 yards.

About the local area

For those who really want to escape it all then mid Wales is the place to go. Because of the vast mountain ranges in this area much of it is uninhabitable. However this does not stop it from being a beautiful place to visit.

The Cambrian Mountain range dominates and because it is often over looked due to the Snowdonian and Brecon Beacon ranges it is a secret just waiting to be discovered. Fish in one of the many reservoirs and rivers or bike up some of the challenging trails across the range.

Further to the east the towns of Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells both provide amenities for your day in the mountains. From here you can also travel to the Black Mountains in the South East or visit the neighbouring English border
