Commanding breathtaking views from its position overlooking the magnificent Berwyn Mountains, Tanyffridd is a traditional detached Welsh famhouse providing a cosy and comfortable base for exploring the beautiful Welsh countryside. This is wonderful walking country with the spectacular Pistyll Rhaeadr waterfall, one of the seven wonders of Wales, close by. Fishing on the River Iwrch with licences available locally. Water sports are available at the nearby lakes of Vyrnwy and Bala. Tthe Snowdonia National Park is just a short drive away. Just 2.5 miles from the pretty village of Llanrhaeadr, with its excellent selection of shops and welcoming country pubs. This property has achieved Bronze status in Green Tourism. About the local area

For those who really want to escape it all then mid Wales is the place to go. Because of the vast mountain ranges in this area much of it is uninhabitable. However this does not stop it from being a beautiful place to visit.

The Cambrian Mountain range dominates and because it is often over looked due to the Snowdonian and Brecon Beacon ranges it is a secret just waiting to be discovered. Fish in one of the many reservoirs and rivers or bike up some of the challenging trails across the range.

Further to the east the towns of Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells both provide amenities for your day in the mountains. From here you can also travel to the Black Mountains in the South East or visit the neighbouring English border
