Description

Situated in the heart of Berriew village, this pretty, terraced, black and white cottage was once part of the Vaynor Estate, and is within walking distance of a bowling club, tennis club, football pitch, and playground all within Berriew village. The property occupies a prime position beside the River Rhiw, where guests have shared access to the river bank, and backs on to the pretty churchyard of the historic St Beuno’s Church. Berriew is located near the popular, historic town of Welshpool which offers plenty of local amenities. Nearby you can also find the Andrew Logan Museum of Sculpture, Gregynog Hall, Powys Castle and the Montgomery Canal and the Welshpool and Llanfair Steam Railway which runs between Welshpool and Llanfair Caereinion. Golfers have the choice of three courses within a 15-mile radius of the property. Only a 15-minute drive across the border into Shropshire you can find a number of fun filled activities including quad trekking, paintballing, go-karting and horse riding. The Cambrian coast and parts of Snowdonia are just over an hours drive away. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.

About the local area

For those who really want to escape it all then mid Wales is the place to go. Because of the vast mountain ranges in this area much of it is uninhabitable. However this does not stop it from being a beautiful place to visit.

The Cambrian Mountain range dominates and because it is often over looked due to the Snowdonian and Brecon Beacon ranges it is a secret just waiting to be discovered. Fish in one of the many reservoirs and rivers or bike up some of the challenging trails across the range.

Further to the east the towns of Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells both provide amenities for your day in the mountains. From here you can also travel to the Black Mountains in the South East or visit the neighbouring English border
