The Glyndwr’s Way National Trail and Cycle Route 25 run through the village, ideal for those who enjoy exploring the countryside. It is within easy reach of the stunning Elan Valley with lakes and trails, the Red Kite Feeding Station at Rhayader, The Brecon Beacons and the Brecon to Monmouth canal. Don’t forget to take a trip to the town of Builth Wells, with many year round events at the Royal Welsh Showground. Once you have taken in the beautiful surrounding countryside, why not visit the village pub, relax and watch the sun go down, then take yourselves back to Erw Fair, light the multi-fuel burner and simply relax? About the local area

For those who really want to escape it all then mid Wales is the place to go. Because of the vast mountain ranges in this area much of it is uninhabitable. However this does not stop it from being a beautiful place to visit.

The Cambrian Mountain range dominates and because it is often over looked due to the Snowdonian and Brecon Beacon ranges it is a secret just waiting to be discovered. Fish in one of the many reservoirs and rivers or bike up some of the challenging trails across the range.

Further to the east the towns of Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells both provide amenities for your day in the mountains. From here you can also travel to the Black Mountains in the South East or visit the neighbouring English border
