Set in its own landscaped hilly garden with a woodland stream and paths winding through the beautifully kept grounds that are ablaze with colour throughout the changing seasons where an abundance of wildlife can be spotted, it really is true country retreat, and approached by an easily driveable track at the side of a field, it offers peaceful seclusion with sheep as the nearest neighbours. Six miles away, the market town of Llanidloes offers sports centre, swimming-pool, tennis and golf. The coast at Aberdovey is 30 miles. Beautiful, secluded Lake Ebyr is within walking distance. Horse riding nearby. Fishing within 1 mile. Shop 6 miles, pub 2 miles.

Winding cottage stairs to first floor: Double bedroom with iron bedstead. Twin bedroom. Single bed on landing (for +1 child). Shower room with toilet. Low beamed ceilings throughout.

About the local area

For those who really want to escape it all then mid Wales is the place to go. Because of the vast mountain ranges in this area much of it is uninhabitable. However this does not stop it from being a beautiful place to visit.

The Cambrian Mountain range dominates and because it is often over looked due to the Snowdonian and Brecon Beacon ranges it is a secret just waiting to be discovered. Fish in one of the many reservoirs and rivers or bike up some of the challenging trails across the range.

Further to the east the towns of Builth Wells and Llandrindod Wells both provide amenities for your day in the mountains. From here you can also travel to the Black Mountains in the South East or visit the neighbouring English border
