Description

Set in beautiful surroundings, Clyn Felin Fawr is located just outside the rural hamlet of Cwm Morgan.  Idyllically situated down a private drive, the farmhouse boasts an elevated position with stunning views over its own land and countryside beyond.  Offering ample accommodation over three storeys, Clyn Felin Fawr is a real hidden treasure! It maintains much of its charm and character, including exposed stone walls, exposed beams and fireplaces.  Doors lead out from the lounge into a conservatory overlooking the garden where a game of boules or badminton can be enjoyed or be wined and dined underneath the vine covered pergola – a perfect spot to unwind after a day’s adventure.

Located in the heart of the Teifi Valley and in the beautiful grounds of the owners’ home, which extends to 25 acres, this is an ideal area for relaxing, walking, cycling, bird watching and fishing or as a base to explore the surrounding countryside.

The famous waterfalls of Cenarth are just 7 miles away and well worth a visit, as is the historic market town of Newcastle Emlyn (6 miles) situated on the Teifi River, the town is home to a castle ruin, many local shops, pubs, cafes and the National Wool Museum.  The town of Cardigan, 14.5 miles away at the mouth of the river Teifi also has shops, pubs, supermarket, an arts centre and cinema.  The Wildlife Centre located just outside Cardigan, in the village of Cilgerran is a lovely day out.  Cilgerran is home to a castle and deep gorge, where canoe and kayaking trips are available to hire.  Watch out for otters, kingfishers and many other birds and animals at the Wildlife Centre.

The Pembrokeshire Coastal Path begins just outside Cardigan and offers glorious walks along this dramatic coast.  Dolphins and seals can often be sighted basking in the warm waters on the coastline.  Carmarthenshire is known as the ‘Garden of Wales’ with some of the most stunning scenery and is steeped in legends of King Arthur and Merlin the Magician.  Visit the famous National Botanic Garden of Wales – the most visited gardens in Wales.  The county town of Carmarthen is a bustling place especially on market days (Saturdays and Wednesdays); a newly refurbished indoor food market which houses fine local cheeses, meats, bakes goods and fresh produce, Carmarthen is also home to a variety of high street stores.

The area has numerous streams and forests providing much to see and do for walkers and nature lovers.  Cwm Morgan is in the centre of a network of wooded valleys, which are largely un-spoilt and offer a variety of walks. Walk the spectacular coast, through the lush green river valleys, to the heather-capped uplands and forests of the Cambrian Mountains where red kites and buzzards soar above.

Clyn Felin Fawr really is a delightful place to relax after a day of exploring the countryside, the beaches and local attractions this area is renowned for.
