Description

Cei Newydd is one of two beautiful properties within walking distance of the Ceredigion Marine Heritage Coast - the first to be established in Britain and which recognises the un-spoilt nature of the coastline and its wildlife. An absolutely delightful holiday property, Cei Newydd is a lovely self catering holiday cottage, which has been completely renovated from top to toe and is set in the pretty hamlet of Nanternis, near New Quay.  The lime-washed stone walls and pale blue touches of the cottage echo the nearby sea.  The cottage itself benefits from the same colour scheme and has a sociable, open plan layout with the sitting area to one end with a cosy log burner for chilly nights and comfy leather sofas.  The well equipped modern kitchen is especially lovely, with doors leading out to a decked area and beyond to a patio and enclosed lawn where you can enjoy the warm sunshine and light the BBQ provided.  The bedrooms are beautifully decorated with carefully chosen bed linen.  The property is all on ground floor level, and is wheelchair accessible.  Step outside and choose from one of the many lanes and footpaths to explore, some take you along the un-spoilt Ceredigion Coast Path and others through ancient woodland.  Or make your way to the secluded cove of Cwmtydu (1 mile), renowned for smugglers and pirates, the legendary Sion Cwilt was one such smuggler who used this bay in the 18th Century.  The beach itself is pebbly and seal pups can often be seen here during the autumn months.  Cwmtydu is nestled into the coastline, with paths offering excellent walking opportunities and connecting all the local beaches.

Cei Newydd can be booked together with Mwnt (621011) to accommodate up to 6 people.
